From October to December 2019, TerraClear was able to host 9 school programs in Paksong District, Champasak Province under the banner of TerraKids. In cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Education Paksong District, and with the support of generous donors from around the world, TerraKids donated 42 new filter sets and 8 replacement filters to at-risk primary schools identified by the Ministry.
The programs included teaching on Clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. The staff used a variety of media including a PowerPoint presentation, puppet show, dances, and a hand-washing demonstration with magic cream and a black-light. Students and educators were taught about child protection issues including children’s rights, dangers to children, and good touch / bad touch. Every child also received child protection coloring sheets with crayons so that they could take their lessons home with them.
