Almost 35,000 people (8600 families) in rural Laos are now drinking clean water in their own homes through the TerraCare subsidy program! This is an amazing statistic – because without filters for clean drinking water, these families were either drinking from open water sources (ponds, rivers, lakes) or shallow wells. Now with clean drinking water they are healthier and have less illness. Their children are well and can attend school and learn. They have less risk of severe disease and death from water borne illness. It is a moment to celebrate!
But we are not done yet!
Our goal with TerraCare subsidy program for the needy is 10,000 families! We still have almost 1400 filters to go, and YOU CAN HELP! Each filter is subsidized $40, and half of that comes from a matching grant from France IF WE CAN RAISE THE INITIAL $20/filter!
