In Ban Kong Savan village in Soukuma District, Champassak Province, Laos, TerraClear representative Biet held a meeting to teach the villagers about clean water, health, and choosing a TerraClear household water filter for their own homes. Many villagers came and they all participated well in the training. They were amazed that a company was coming to teach them such helpful things about clean drinking water and how to have good health.
In Ban Kong Savan, everyone uses wells for water. The well water is very murky and brown, with a lot of mud mixed in with the water. Some families purchased TerraClear filters, but they were disappointed because the filters ran very slowly. Biet trained them further and said, “If you allow the water to settle first in a bucket, you can scoop out only the cleaner water on top. Put that cleaner water through your filter and the filter will work better.”
After this training, the villagers changed their practices. Now, instead of 1 bottle of water they can get 3 bottles of water to filter through their TerraClear filters per day! The villagers are very happy now and enjoy the clean water they can drink from their TerraClear filter. Even dirty water can become clean!
