On August 21, 2020 TerraClear reached a milestone in its production. Our 100,000th filter passed our QC control gates: Filter Serial Number OB623.
The filter was produced by a wonderful team of employees. Ms. Bounhom (ບຸນຮົ່ມ) was the recipient of a 100,000 Kip bill in honor of having been the one to ‘finish’ the filter. She had stamped her initials into the filter several weeks prior to it being fired. Mr. Liw (ລິວ) and Mr. Toup (ຕູບ) were the firing technicians who fired the kiln to over 800°C this past Tuesday and Ms. Teangon (ແຕງອ່ອນ) and Ms. Thidtavanh (ທິດຕາວັນ) were the ones to QC check the filters today. Many other staff were involved in the preparation of raw materials, grinding, sifting, mixing, pressing, and oversight of producing this and the many other filters which have come before.
The fact that we are celebrating this milestone is a testament to the hard work and determination of Jonathan Ringger, the founder of TerraClear Production, and the many employees, consultants, and contributors who have helped to make this business a success. We thank Jonathan for not giving up when the going was tough, and thank everyone else, too many to name, for their contributions large and small over the years. You know who are!
We are proud of this accomplishment and hopeful the next 10 years will see TerraClear continue to be able to achieve its mission of providing clean drinking water to the people of Laos!
